The Lebanese currency is the Lebanese Pound (LBP) or Lebanese Lira (LL). The exchange against the US dollar is maintained at the rate: $1 = LL 1.500.
Virtually all merchants in Lebanon accept either Lebanese currency or US currency.

Climate


Lebanon has a temperate Mediterranean climate, with warm, dry summers and cooler, wet winters. Snow falls for a large part of winter in the mountain regions where there are numerous ski resorts.

The coast is relatively mild in winter, with maximums rarely falling below 13°C.

The conference coincides with the beginning of the spring season. Normal temperature then ranges between 10°C and 20°C, with chances for light rain.
